Stress Eating ?

 

 Is going to the refrigerator

your   # 1   stress management strategy ?  

 

 

 

Many physiological and emotional stress factors push us to eat...   even when we're not hungry!

But WHY ?

This evening workshop provides information about these stress factors,

emphasizing the biofeedback and stress management strategies that can help.

Although there is no quick fix, this workshop provides information and stress management strategies

to help you take the first step.

 

 

YOU WILL LEARN :

  • the many stress pathways that have a big impact on our eating behaviour
  • stress management approaches to decrease emotional eating
  •  4  emotion calming strategies
  • biofeedback for emotional self-calming
  • whether willpower is part of the equation

 

 

DATE, TIME, and LOCATION :

This two hour educational, skills-oriented workshop meets on

Thursday, FEBRUARY 27, 2020

from 7:00 - 9:00 pm

in Room 332 University Centre, University of Guelph  (find this location...)

 

A minimum of 6 people is required for this session.

 

 

FEES :

  • $  5 for University of Guelph students   (due to a subsidy from U of G Student Health Services)
  • $ 20 for members of United Steelworkers Local 4120   (due to a subsidy from Local 4120)
  • $ 40 for all others

Payment is by cash or cheque.

Gift certificates are available.

 


TO REGISTER :

  • in advance - Complete a registration form and mail or e-mail it to reserve your spot in the workshop.
  • in person - Space permitting, it is also possible to register and pay in person at the session by arriving 15 minutes early.

  • Arrange for a workshop to come to your workplace or community site :
    The Stress Eating workshop, or selected topics from this workshop, can be provided on-site at your workplace or community group site.   A 30-60 minute Lunch & Learn session can also be provided.  Call the Stress Management and High Performance Clinic at 519 824-4120, ext. 52662 to make arrangements for sessions at your location. 
  • Make an appointment for private training :
    Any of the Stress Eating topics listed above can be provided in private, one-to-one training sessions. Daytime, late afternoon, and evening times are available on weekdays throughout the year.
